The hardest part about going away is knowing what on earth to pack!

A year,

that's a pretty long time.

I've only every been away for weekends or weeks,

a few months,

never a year.

I'm going to be there for 4 seasons,

How on earth do I pack all that into a 60L rucksack.

Let alone photography gear

Let's break it down,

New Zealand has a similar climate to England.

It's going to be spring, summer, autumn and winter.

I'm going to be lounging on the beach,

kayaking in the sea,

dancing in clubs,

chilling at the park,

going bungee jumping,

climbing trees,

sleeping rough,

working on farms,

oh man now I'm even more lost than I was at the start.

I'm a sucker for a snickers shake!
