Thailand i've been waiting for this a long time
first Bangkok
met a bunch of Turkish lads in my hostel
who took me around some of the sight
was absolutely dripping from the heat
it's so humid
spent the next day perusing and hiding in the air-con of a vegan cafe
on my last day i met this lovely german girl
who went on a photography journey with me
i then took a night bus to Chiang Mai
where i met some Venezuelan lads who went on a ped adventure with me
i then did something i'd been waiting all my life for
I saw elephants
ahhhhh!!
got to go to the elephant jungle sanctuary
and hug and clean the elephants in mud and wash them in the river
it was a day I'll never forget
i took a mini bus to Pai
stayed at a jazz hostel
which had two hours of live music each night
and hammocks which was super chill
one month in asia
pre trip prep
first things first
grab yourself some flights
booking around 6 weeks in advance i find best
as prices are still low
however you don't have to book too far in advance
when i book flights i book by month
this allows you to find the cheapest flights
it's best not to have Definitive dates you wanna leave
as it can be a lot more expensive
i tend to use sky-scanner
next step somewhere to stay
i find it best to book 2 nights in advance
this allows you the peace of mind of being able to go straight to a bed
in Bangkok koh san road is the place to be
it's central and party central
I stayed just off of the road at
laksameenarai guesthouse
just far enough away from the noise
yet close enough to everything
arrival
on the plane you'll be given an immigration form to fill out
If you are from the uk or hold and eu passport
then you'l get a free 30 day vis on arrival
just leave the plane and head straight o immigration
hand in your form and get a stamp
and thats that
grab your luggage from baggage claim
now to grab a sim card
i went with AIS a 30day 15gb sim for 799THB
once you'll all set up you'll be wanting to head into town
i grabbed an orange bus outside exit b
the s1. it was 60THB to koh san road

Bangkok is hot
hot hot hot
and humid

you'll basically be sweating your butt off the whole time
